How to Maintain Electric Four-wheeled Vehicles when They Are Not in Use
Jul 25, 2022
Electric four-wheeled vehicles are becoming more and more popular in our lives, but they also need maintenance if they are not used for a long time. Vehicles that have been parked for a long time will gradually deteriorate the technical status of each assembly and mechanism due to atmospheric erosion, resulting in the loss of the original technical performance.
Let's talk about the maintenance that electric four-wheelers need to pay attention to when they are not in use.
First, prevent the aging and deterioration of rubber products. Rubber products, such as tires, transmission belts, and dust covers, often experience aging, swelling, or deformity, resulting in poor performance and shortened service life.
Second, to prevent the mildew of cotton and linen products and carpets, etc., it is easy to absorb moisture. Especially in wet areas and rainy seasons, it is more susceptible to damp and mildew. Therefore, owners of electric four-wheelers should check the cotton and linen products on the car frequently, dry them in time, and keep them dry.
Third, prevent the metal from rusting. Rust is mainly caused by the combined action of moisture, oxygen and corrosive substances in the air. Therefore, for electric four-wheeled vehicles that have been stopped for a long time, the metal surface should be kept clean. The garage where the vehicle is parked should always be ventilated to keep the relative humidity below 70%. It is necessary to remove dust, dirt and moisture from the car in time. Fourth, check the working condition of the engine frequently. Start the engine at least once a month, run it at idle speed for 4-5 minutes, and check the operation of the engine. If there is any abnormal phenomenon, it needs to be adjusted and repaired in time.
